Day Five: Meditation Challenge #DoMagick
This morning I enjoyed a nice, quiet, forty minute meditation before starting my day. But I also woke up in a crappy mood, a carryover from yesterday, which carried over from when I reconfigured my Sorath model on Sunday. So after today’s meditation, I reconfigured the model yet again. My bad mood dissipated within 45 minutes. It’s amazing how magick can have such immediate results. I still find myself pleasantly surprised by this.
That said, during this morning’s meditation my mind wandered a bit, from needing to pick up the groceries, to getting some stuff done for my writing group, to needing to answer email and deal with the Sorath model. I did not put nearly as much emphasis on the clay-works that I wanted to finish today, or the writing, and so I am sorely lagging on those two things. Only going to prove that when you meditate on intention (to thwart procrastination) you have to be careful to give equal time to all things. However, my intention is to write for an hour or two, and then work on creating magickal talismans for an hour or so before going to bed. I’m pretty sure I can make this happen. It’s only 7PM.
I think it’s time for me to repeat my mantra: The writer’s first priority is writing the next book.
That said I’m off to work on Falling From Grace.
