Day Thirty: Talismans – Protection #DoMagick

The Goddess Bastet and I go way back. Ever since we moved into this house over 18 years ago, I have called on Bastet to protect our home, and our cats, and she has been diligent. I find comfort, great comfort, with cats. It’s probably because I’m a cat person. I also think of things like Fun, and Relaxation when I think of cats.

Today’s meditation and subsequent talisman thus turned into a bizarre (but fun) sketch of Bastet. This talisman brings me great comfort and joy just looking at it. It’s a small thing, but so fantastic. When something so simple can bring this much joy — there is great power in that.
