The Problem With Magick

Some of the biggest problems magicians have with making magick manifest to their will, include the following:

1. Unrealistic Expectations – they expect it should work like Harry Potter. Say an incantation and *poof* instant results. They don’t stop to look at each situation as something unique that may require more work. Sometimes – yes, the quick incantation will work, but only if all the opposition has been dealt with first.

2. The unwillingness to accept the things they cannot change. Very hard to force another person against their will and a lot of magick seeks to impose the magician’s will upon another person. That is very rarely effective. Especially in relationships.

3. Unwillingness to view the problem from a different angle. Sometimes we go at a problem directly, when there is an underlying cause (or causes) that needs to be addressed first. Once that’s addressed – THEN you can use magick directly on the situation with great effect. This requires a lot more introspection and work than most people are willing to put in.

The general rule of thumb is this — you create your own reality. So oftentimes everything in our lives – people and situations included — are of our own making. Therefore if we have problems with people and situations and we put ourselves in the path of said people and situations – then we need to figure out initially what is wrong with us that we keep seeking out certain types of people to surround ourselves with, and what we continue to do to get ourselves into the situations we get into. Once you figure that out — it all falls into place. Oftentimes it requires removing people and situations from our lives and then putting ourselves in the RIGHT situation and surrounding ourselves with the RIGHT people.
