    Focus Meditation 14: Breath #DoMagick

Meditation Title: Bellows Breath Technique: Yes – MORE Pranayama! I know. I’m on a roll this week with the breathing meditations. Just one more though… This one is called Bellows Breath. It’s very similar to breath of fire, except you exhale through your nose! You also don’t do it as quickly. This is an energizing pranayama exercise. Sit tall, breathe…

    Focus Meditation 12: Breath #DoMagick

Meditation Title: Lion’s Breath Technique: Pranayama is a practice of how one breathes. It’s part of a formal yoga practice for a lot of yogis. Different breathing techniques can actually do everything from promote relaxation to energy. Usually, this is done sitting on your heels. If this is too difficult for you, try it sitting cross-legged, or on all fours.…

    Focus Meditation 3: Yoga #DoMagick

Meditation Title: Yoga – Mindfulness Technique: Yoga – Meditation – they’re different things, right? Yes and no. Think of yoga as one of many forms of MOVING meditation (like walking or tai chi) whereas when most people think of meditation they think of stationary meditation. During moving meditation, you can still have the same acute focus as you do when…

    Day 6: FTW #DoMagick

Is that For The Win, or Fuck The World? You decide. Today was round two of the chaos. Amid handing out the payroll that I did yesterday, I also finished up the billing, did my A/R reports, helped customers, did the deposits, and stayed until almost seven thirty to make a dent in six days worth of data entry. It…

    Day 5: Sun Salutations #DoMagick

I did nine sun salutations yesterday and then went to bed. Long story short – it was payroll and end of month at the day job. When you work in accounting, that basically means chaos. So you’re trying to do payroll while simultaneously help customers with invoices, and answer questions about the outgoing billing. It didn’t help that Monday was…

    Day Two: Extremes #DoMagick

Yesterday I managed to finish the entire air sequence + meditation and chakra balancing, and then I had insomnia until three in the morning, and some vivid dreams. I won’t go into the dreams because they’re too personal, but suffice to say they are pretty obvious in their meaning. So how this week is going to go: Day 1- Earth…

Day One: Beginner’s Mind Yoga #DoMagick

Well, my friend, Will, wasn’t half wrong. Corpse Pose sent me straight to Zzzzzzzzzzzzz land last night. My first day of this #DoMagick challenge was dedicated to earth. I made it to corpse pose while I listened to a chakra balancing video. Needless to say, the subsequent meditation on Belial’s sigil didn’t happen. Ha! What I’ve always found interesting about…

    Flow Sequences #DoMagick

So I’m starting to develop my flow sequences. I am using The Yoga Deck by Olivia Miller to help me design the flow sequences. The deck includes 50 cards. 12 include breathing exercises/meditations, and the rest are various poses. To help me design my “Daemonic Elements” flow series’,  I separated the cards into logical (to me) Earth, Air, Fire, Water…
