Anne O’Connell

Anne O’Connell is the pseudonym I use for my bdsm erotica novellas and novels. I might write other erotic romance novels with this pen name, too.  There’s no reason she would have to strictly be all about bdsm. Originally I was using Anne incognito because I didn’t want family and friends to know I was writing such racy novellas and novels. So if you see strange bios still running around claiming I’m in Illinois, this is why. I’m still changing all of this info over. I gave Anne her own little fictitious backstory. Of course now that my friends and family know, and aren’t as shocked as I expected when this latest nom de plume was revealed (kind of hard to keep it under wraps when your novels become bestsellers), there’s really no reason for me to distance myself from Anne anymore.

Anyway –  I really love writing in this genre because it allows me to explore dominance and submission in the characters I write. While a scant few have said my stories are more along the lines of Anne Rice’s Sleeping Beauty novels rather than real-life bdsm, that’s cool with me (even though I disagree, I’ve been around the block a few times – I’ve been on this planet for forty years ::wink::). But ultimatly I fully admit that I write fantasies. I write fiction. While I try to give the books some realism I guess it doesn’t always come through for everyone. Despite the critics, as all books have them, the books are popular.  All my books under this pen-name are available on Kindle, Nook, Smashwords, and in paperback. Hopefully soon to be available on iTunes as SWEET versions. Sorry, iTunes won’t allow me to use words like fuck, ass, cock, pussy. So I’m classing it up.
