Planners With Nothing to Plan?
I’m convinced this might actually be a weird thing. Back in November 2018, while I was looking for new ideas on making the most of my time, I joined a few planner groups. If you didn’t know, there are entire groups dedicated to tracking and planning, and in some cases the more creative aspect of planning.
So I get the whole adding color or stickers (function and beauty to make you happy about your work plan), but what I don’t get are the people who are more interested in decorating their planners rather than using them. When your first question is, “How should I decorate it?” and the second question is, “What do you use your planner to plan?” I have to wonder if that person actually needs a planner, or if they need to get some hobbies or something.
I suppose planner decorating could be a hobby. LOL I would literally be lost without my planners. I have so much crap to keep track of it’s a wonder how I survived so many years without them (started keeping planners in 2015). Probably because in my younger years my mind was more agile and quick to recall. But as I get older, my hard drive is getting full. Either that or I just have more to remember as my career becomes more complex and I’m doing more things.
As of today, I am loving my planners and using the hell out of them. I feel pretty confident in my plan. I feel organized — in control. I think this two planner thing is going to work really well for me.
So how are you with planning? How goes your planning so far in 2019? Are you a planning junkie? How has planning changed your life?
