Focus Meditation 15: Flame #DoMagick

Meditation Title: Flame Focus

Technique: This is a focus meditation where you immerse yourself fully in the experience of observation. You can add to this some energy work, and see what happens.

So first, get a candle and light it. Sit comfortably in front of the candle and draw in a deep breath. Exhale slowly. Focus on the flame of the candle. Watch it. Then, try to anticipate it’s movement. Observe it. How does it react to the air, your breath, your movement.

Build an energy ball between your palms, pull your hands apart, and move them to either side of the flame. Manipulate the flame with your own energy field. You may not be able to do it at first, but with some practice, you may find it easier to manipulate it.

This is also a good meditation for fire scrying. What images enter your head? What thoughts? How does the flame make you feel? Do you experience bright flashes of insight? Those who are clairvoyant may have better luck with this.

My Meditation: I’m going to use this as a fire scrying and meditation. 15 minutes meditation, 15 minutes scrying.

Meditation Resources: If you’re interested in fire scrying, I found a ritual for this that might be worth a read: https://www.thoughtco.com/fire-scrying-ritual-2561755

Thoughts: I’m actually pretty good at scrying. Today I cleared my mind with morning pages, then sat down for my regular meditation practice. Half meditation, half fire scrying. Suffice to say I’ll keep to myself what the fire revealed to me this morning, but this meditation left me feeling a bit sleepy. Reminding me of why I usually do scrying in the late hours of the evening. It’s far too relaxing. Reaching out into the universe to see what is and what will come takes a lot of mental energy. But after some water and a vitamin B booster I’m right as rain, though still yawning.
