
Focus Meditation 1: Listen #DoMagick
Meditation Title: Chanting/Drumming/Hymns
Technique: Put on a CD or Streaming Chanting/Drumming/Hymn track and just sit quietly (be still), listening. Do this 10-30 minutes. For those of you who are new to meditation, start at 10 minutes and work your way up. This is an exercise in LISTENING and sitting quietly doing nothing BUT listening.
My Meditation : I enjoy tribal drums, so I will listen to my favorite track and just focus on the repetition and sound.
Meditation Resources: You can find hundreds of free meditation music and drumming videos on YouTube.
Thoughts: This is a relaxing meditation to do after a busy or difficult day. While my day today was far from difficult, I found it energizing to start my day with it. I tend to prefer drumming over music for the most part. Depends on my mood. I felt refreshed and ready to start my day after this!
