Day Two: Talismans – Soaring #DoMagick

Today’s talisman brings about creative rebirth. Please know up front that while I may love drawing and painting, I am no artist by any means. At best I’m abstract/impressionist. The fact is that art brings me so much joy and relaxation and I do it for me. Sharing this is actually making me giggle because it shows that, as far as art goes, words really are my natural medium. 

I hope my “art” inspires those of you who don’t feel artistic, to try your own talismans in a variety of mediums. Create from your heart and watch your spirit soar and your desires manifest.

This particular piece shows a very abstract bird, perhaps a phoenix (or perhaps something else) soaring toward the sun. I used red, yellow, and purple in the bird to symbolize strength, action, success and power. The firey nature of this one is about rebirth.
