A Malkuth of Me,  Magick,  S. Connolly

Day Two: Under the Wire #DoMagick

Yesterday’s results with taking what I love (writing/editing), working on that thing for awhile, then harnessing that “love” energy,  and channeling it into doing what needs to be done (i.e. things like administrative work), worked okay. I did manage to:

  • Get the last chapter of FFG to the editor for evaluation and line edits.
  • Get royalty statements and payments out.
  • Deal with some advertising.
  • Do some volunteer work.
  • Clean out my inbox.
  • Finish 5 readings.
  • Finish, package, and label two orders.
  • Some financial/banking to-do’s.

I still have plenty of to-do’s left, of course, but that’s a huge dent.  It also took me until 10:30 last night to complete.  I took 11:30-midnight for the self-cleansing portion of my work.  I’m going to try it again tonight, and throughout the next 3 nights. Unfortunately I’m stuck at the day job until Thursday so my progress will be a little slower and I certainly won’t be getting tons done like I can in a day where I have nothing else going on.

Love Projects For APRIL

  • FFG Line/Final Edits (14 chapters to go)
  • Blackrose 1st Pass Edits —> needs to go to editor.
  • Illuminated Darkness Writing
  • Temple Dagon Writing
  • CMB Writing

Things that need to get done in APRIL

  • Calculation and payment of first quarter taxes.
  • Advertising evaluation.
  • First Quarter Evaluation
  • Volunteer Work (long list of to-do’s here)
  • 4 Readings Scheduled for 8th
  • Inbox routine cleanings
  • FFG Formatting
  • FFG Launch
  • Newsletter + Swaps
  • Advertising + Promo
  • DoMagick Daily Blogging
  • Convert Coven Board to Spreadsheet
  • Seminary Class + related
  • Deal with customers waiting to order custom orders.

Some of the above have strict deadlines and will prioritized accordingly. Other stuff can wait. I also have a long list of things I wish I could do instead of the things that need to be done. LOL But we won’t go there. I’m only one person, unless you count Frank. He does help with mailings and email, which is always a plus. But a lot of this stuff has to be done by me.

SO – that outlined, I am going to shoot for 1 chapter per night of line editing, and one hour of administrative work starting tonight and going through Wednesday. A lot of that will depend on whether or not I need to bring work home to complete payroll, which plagues me every other week.

Today’s Cards:

Tarot: Ten of Pentacles – A partnership. Solid opportunities. The question this card asks is “What is the cost of high achievement or security?”  I know what this means, so I will have to be mindful of my time tonight.

Lenormand: Snake – Think before acting. Use good judgement. Always wise advice. The snake has always been a power symbol for me. I have a strong connection to them.

Sigil: Delepitoré – Focusing one’s intentions and acting accordingly.

So it looks that while I will have a couple of hours tonight to do what I hope to do, I need to accept that I cannot spend my entire evening on tasks. There are more important things.

I’ll just keep plugging away…
