Day One: Play it Again, Sam! Do-over #DoMagick
Okay, here we again. Though at this point I’ve modified the work for simplicity. My friend, Will, suggested I do just one pose per day while concentrating on a Daemon and hold it (Corpse Pose counted), but I was afraid that was too simple and almost close to cheating. I’d be reporting a lot of corpse poses right before I crashed for the night. HA!
With this in mind, I’ve decided to stick with a single simple sequence with a little from each element, starting Earth, ending Water:
- Mountain
- Tree
- Standing forward bend
- Kneeling Lunge
- Downward dog
- Proud Warrior
- Plank
- Bound angle
- Spinal twist
- Reclining Spinal Twist
- Boat
- Cobra
I am doing this inside an elemental circle. Then afterward, I invoke one Daemon, do the breathing associated with said Daemon. If I do it at night, then I’ll add my meditation or ascension work (which I do nightly anyway) afterward. Today I did my yoga early, so it was NOT combined with meditation.
The flow goes from standing to sitting, to reclined poses. I did NOT bother with Chakra meditation this time around. If I think I need it, I will add it as needed, but for today, no.
The Kneeling Lunge did not feel good to my knees. That’s the first damn thing. It’s hell getting older and there are some things the body fights, and being on my knees is one of those things. It’s easy to get down, not always easy to get up, either. I have a lot of soreness and stiffness. I found the sequence itself rather invigorating. I think it’s a better fit. Some of the sequences I had before were too calm and relaxing and were best suited for right before bed. This one, however, invigorates, so I’m happy about that.
I only pulled one Lenormand Card today and I got THE SUN. So many positive things about the sun. Solving conflicts, hope, vitality, health, finding encouragement and overcoming obstacles. I do have some obstacles to overcome today, so this looks promising. On that note, I’m off to “overcome” my obstacles. HAHA Let’s hope it works. I don’t want to lose my weekend to a compromised emotional state (which destroys my creativity with an iron fist).
