Day One: Beginner’s Mind Yoga #DoMagick

Well, my friend, Will, wasn’t half wrong. Corpse Pose sent me straight to Zzzzzzzzzzzzz land last night.

My first day of this #DoMagick challenge was dedicated to earth. I made it to corpse pose while I listened to a chakra balancing video. Needless to say, the subsequent meditation on Belial’s sigil didn’t happen. Ha!

What I’ve always found interesting about yoga is how you can feel tension and blockages loosen during different poses and by the end of each sequence you can feel relaxed, energized, and even happier. In this sequence, Triangle Pose seemed to release the most tension.  Child’s Pose hurt my knees (getting older sucks). I woke up after a twenty-minute corpse pose, found the chakra balancing meditation had ended, and dragged myself to bed.

Overall, I did feel more grounded and less stressed afterward, so I’d say it was a successful day one!
