Experiments #DoMagick
I know. All I’ve been posting lately are my #DoMagick posts. I guess I haven’t had much else to talk about lately since I’m deep in editing and finishing up projects right now. Gods only know what I’ll have done by the end of the month there. The writing life has been wicked crazy this year, and I may not be getting a real break until November at this point. But that’s okay. I am finding that letting go, letting the chaos flow around me, and just steering the boat seems to be working there. I will always have things to do. It’s how I perceive that to-do list that causes me stress or not. Basically – I can choose to be overwhelmed by the chaos, or not. This is not a foreign concept, but it’s harder to put into practice than it seems. I think I’ve finally gotten to a point where I’m putting it into practice because for the last two weeks, I have been uncharacteristically calmer than my usual high strung self. Now onto the topic of this post.
Daemon Yoga?
So a conversation I had with some friends has been lingering with me. We were talking about our DoMagick challenges and I mentioned the yoga and pranayama and how it wasn’t really new and my friend Will said something about Daemons and I was like, “I could do yoga poses or flow sequences I create myself based on various Daemons.” We started joking about how Mountain and Tree pose could be linked with Belial or Ba’al. Warrior with Fire. Child Pose with Water and so on. We laughed about it and moved on to other topics of conversation. The idea, however, lingered.
Why not? This month I’m going to put together some flow sequences for Belial, Lucifer, Flereous, and Leviathan to do next month. I’ll practice each sequence during my regular yoga and pranayama, and I’ll test it out. Perhaps I’ll even do some invocation along with it. If anything it would be a fun experiment. Right?
Now, back to editing and such. I am really pushing my ETG deadline right now, causing me to come up with a plan B for the September 8 book signing if things don’t go as planned.

I’m eager to see the results of this.
