Day 20: Progress! #DoMagick

So, a lot happened today. I am rather impressed with my energy and the sheer amount of what I got done.  So first, I opened the temple. Had my coffee and breakfast, then cut my husband’s hair. Answered some email.  Went back into the temple, invoked Flaros, Bael, Paimon, and Agares – then Sorath. I re-anointed the magickal model, held it on high and asked for it to aid me in my goals, ran it through the incense, sprinkled it with water, stated some words of intent over it, then took it outside to sit in the sun and soak up solar energy.  I returned to the temple and gave thanks to the Daemons of Fire, acknowledged Flereous’ holy day, offered a drop of blood, a candle, and incense, then closed the ritual and went back to work.  The model stayed outside until about six, then I brought it in and put it between two charging candles to charge for the rest of the day.

In writing productivity, I pulled together editing notes (mostly line edits) from my editor and three beta readers. Things have been tough without editor Tanya. 🙁  I miss her keen eye. But, with the help of eight sets of eyes, and Word’s text-to-voice feature, I managed to get Ba’al Collective completely edited and in tip-top shape.  Now it’s in formatting. It’s a novella, so that shouldn’t take long. My guess is it should release tomorrow or Friday at this point! YAY!  🙂  That is the beauty (and likely the bane) of modern publishing – things can be uploaded the second they’re done.

I also got more books ordered for some events. So many events to manage this summer/autumn! 🙁  On the upside, my fiction stock is replenished and I sincerely hope I sell at least 25 books at Comic Con (what I need to break even, otherwise the event is a promotional write-off).  I also have some books going to my writers group for the swag bags, AND, I may have to make another order for the September signing. It’s a lot to keep straight.  Especially with my husband needing surgery in July, and having everything from regular medical and dental visits scheduled, to another NovelRama!  I’m deeming this the “Summer of Crazy”.

Plus – got a request for a necromantic article for the next volume of Sabbatica, and a request for an advertising video for the next Anthology of Sorcery (which I have an article in). So, add those to an already busy schedule. LOL  But it is what it is.  If I want to draw in readers, these things have to be done.

I am thinking once ETG is done, I will be working on the next Thirteen Covens and a few of the Daemonolatry titles I’m behind on. Some are SO CLOSE to being done, but then there’s editing, so…  I am behind on Preeminant Curse, Daemonic Prosperity Magick, and the Daemonolater’s Guide to Daemonic Love Magick.  But to be honest – I’ve been more inspired to focus on the fiction lately. My focus shifts and changes. It’s how I manage to keep writing and never have writer’s block.  After editing the hellish novel that is ETG, I imagine I’ll be happy to move back to non-fiction for awhile. 🙂

No tarot card pulled today because, well, I was busy. LOL
