Fiction, Deadlines, and Writing News #freefiction #reading #amwriting

Admittedly I am a few months behind on Home is Where the Haunt Is, and I may be a little late with the next installment of Tales from Black Lily (even though it’s been started).  But rest assured I will complete as many installments of these stories as humanly possible this year while hunting down writing deadlines and slaying them. 🙂

Despite how crazy things have been, I am slowly plugging away, and with any luck, I will be able to release at least two new projects (a novella and a not-so-random short story collection), in the next week or two. I still have high hopes that Eagle’s Talon Gray will be available at Denver Comic Con 2017! But we shall see. It needed a lot more work than I anticipated and my other-than-writing-life has been keeping me from spending the time required to finish it sooner. Spring is routinely a very busy time, socially speaking anyway (isn’t it?). Graduations, BBQs, weddings, baby showers, etc…  I am hoping things will slow down this summer and I can catch up. (Story of my life some days.)

In other news, this spring I learned I was a finalist for the Rocky Mountain Fiction Writers Independent Writer of the Year award. I have been a member of this regional writer’s organization for many years and have been an active (albeit behind the scenes) member for some time, whether as a contest judge, committee member, newsletter contributor, online event coordinator and so on. So I was very honored when I learned I was a finalist!  I am in great company. Our group has some really fantastic, successful, and involved authors. If you are a member of RMFW, don’t forget to vote! 🙂  You can learn all about all the finalists for Writer of the Year and Independent Writer of the Year by coming to our Facebook Event on June 11!  Think of this as your personal invitation from me! There will be free ebooks AND a FREE (loaded with ebooks) KINDLE being given away. So click the link, say you’re going. You can join us for the event via your computer in the comfort of your own home! See? You don’t even have to get dressed or drive anywhere. 🙂  That’s all the news for now! Have a great week and happy reading!
