A Malkuth of Me,  Anne O'Connell,  Audrey Brice,  business of writing,  S. Connolly,  the writing life

End of April Update

This year has been off to a crazy start, but good things are coming!

HerDemon WeddingThe first thing coming, likely late June, unless there are wild hares involved and it comes out in early June, is that Black Lily will be released! Black Lily is the final book in the Gilded Lily trilogy. The Amy Trilogy as some call it. After that, expect Her Demon Wedding around September/October. Her Demon Wedding is the second book in the Castle Sedgebrook series. I don’t know if there will be other books in that series. I guess that depends where the story leads and whether or not readers continue to enjoy them. If I get stuck being dragged to NY for DH’s high school reunion in August, I’m bringing the computer so I can entertain myself by working on Her Demon Wedding in the hotel room the bulk of the time while he spends time with old friends catching up. The down side of vacations like this, for me, is that I find myself being dragged from restaurant to restaurant listening to boring conversation after boring conversation, pretending to be interested. It’s complete wasted time, heavy meals, and not relaxing for me at all (because I have to deal with tedious small talk, which I hate). I’d have more fun staying in the hotel room writing. Ah – the joys of being an introvert. Not. (I should write a post about that sometime.)

Before announcing anymore Anne projects beyond these last two for 2014, I want to finish my series of erotic horror short stories (Wolf & Vampires Aren’t Sparkly) and another short/novella Master, May I?  Some of this is partly written. Remember that I spread myself amongst four pen names, otherwise I’d have new Anne novels releasing more often. I can only write 2-3 novels a year with the limited time I have.

In Audrey Brice news – Ascending Darkness has been forcing itself on me. So I suspect coven2blueit will likely be out before Thirteen Covens. That’s okay, because I need to refine the outline of Thirteen CovensAscending Darkness is book four in the five part Ordo Templie Serpentis (OTS) series. So we’re close to the end there. These are fun books to write, so while I may miss the characters when I’m finally done, I don’t want to drag the series out longer than it should be.

In S. J. Reisner news, I know that at some point I’m going to need to take the plunge and finally finish Eagle’s Talon Gray. I think I need a clean plate for that to happen. I also have another small project there that I might work on between other projects as the mood strikes me. I’m not sure I’m ready to announce that yet. It happens when it happens.

In S. Connolly news — I know a lot of people have been wondering WTF is going on here — I have three books over half written, two close to being finished. One is the wortcunning book. The other is one I’ve been penning for awhile and I didn’t know how close to being done I was until last weekend. I want it to be a surprise so no announcements yet.  Sacrae Infernales is going to take me another year at least. It’s a much deeper work than I anticipated. I’m still in a Goetic immersion. Also, I have two collaborations in the works. One with Andrieh Vitimus, and one with Mike Delaney. They will be finished when they’re finished.

I also work for DB Publishing (an esoteric/occult publisher) as the senior acquisitions and content editor and we’ve just contracted two new books. One has been announced – A Witch’s Book of Recipes by Brian McKee, and the second won’t be announced until the author is ready.

So as you can see my 2014 is full! Now you know far more about what’s going on in my life than you probably cared to. Thanks for reading. I appreciate all of you. Also, thanks for being so patient with my infrequent “personal” posts as of late.
