A Malkuth of Me,  astrology,  family,  the writing life,  thoughts

There once was a man from Nantucket…

No, I’m not finishing the limerick. Besides, I’m pretty sure most of you finished it in your head already. Perverts.   😉

Really what’s on my mind today is communication, mercury retrogrades, and astrology. Earlier this month I wrote a post about learning to shut the hell up, which was inspired by my astrology forecast for the month. So far, the astrologer I trust has been dead on with her reading, like usual.

So this month, on the 29th specifically, she said that while I might be tempted to speak out, I should shut up because my professional reputation could be on the line. Luckily I have some strong Jupiter influences keeping me from complete career destruction. I guess the point of me telling you this is to watch the 27-31 to see if I’m  going to stick my foot in my mouth big-time! Place your bets!  Haha!

Unfortunately I’m also expecting more family issues revolving around the health of various family members.

Sadly, this last Mercury Retrograde was a rough one for a lot of folks. Myself included, as I couldn’t seem to get my footing, so I fell behind in everything. However, I did fair better than most people I know, so I can’t complain. I have several sick or injured (and hopefully now healing) family members at the moment who are having a tough time of things. Two with back injuries, one with surgery complications, one who has inoperable cancer, and another who is very stressed out and ill and trying to help take care of two of the other four. But maybe now that Mercury has gone direct, things will start moving forward in the healing department for them again. I’m praying so.

It’s no surprise that  today, of all days (the day Mercury went direct), I finally caught up on the writing bookkeeping and all the paperwork at the p/t day job. Yes, even writers have to keep records and do their books. I’m now using Quickbooks to help me keep track of my crazy writing life.

As for astrology – I am continually amazed at how a good astrologer can be so accurate.  Nuff said about that. Just wasting time posting blogs. Now off to do a little writing before my nightly ritual. Have some special workings planned for tonight.
