Happy Birthday, Quadrant!

Back on March 1, 2011, I closed all of my other blogs and sites down and started this site. The Quadrant!  The point of this site was to bring together my multiple web presences under one moniker.  It’s been both time saving and has allowed me to connect with my readers in the most efficient manner possible.

The site has been through three incarnations and seen the publication of many books in the past two years.

Upon a recent review of this website’s statistics over the last two years, I found myself pleasantly surprised.

Some fascinating facts about this site:

  • This site sees an average of 20,000 unique visitors a year. That’s not page hits, folks!. This site gets over 100,000 page hits every year! I am very surprised by this. I had no idea so many people were reading this site.
  • Of those visitors, over 2,500 of them are repeat visitors! Woot! (Writers love repeat visitors!)
  • While I may only have an average of 50 followers through networked blogs, there are over 100 email subscribers through google feed burner !  This means at least 150 people are part of the 2,500 repeat visitors! Thanks you guys! Your support means a great deal to me.  🙂
  • As to be expected, most google search terms leading folks here were about Anne O’Connell, S. Connolly, or Daemonolatry. This valuable information tells me about my readers, and which of my books people are interested in.
  • The biggest downloaded file on this site is Meleus De Quo Magna (from Daemonolatry Hymns)!   🙂 The CD download is available on THIS PAGE if you’re interested.
  • While the bulk of visitors are usually here for about 5 minutes (as long as it takes to read a blog post), a surprising 11% of visitors stick around for over an hour to look around! In between that, another 10-11% of visitors stick around from 5-20 minutes at a time.   🙂
  • My visitors come from all over the world. The U.S. (obviously), the UK, and Western Europe seem to be the dominant areas.
  • The bulk of my visitors use Windows based computer systems or their mobile devices to connect to my website. Mac, iPhone and Linux users only make up about 8% of my visitors. (Techno nerds will appreciate that little factoid!)

So that’s about it! Happy Birthday, Quadrant!

And to all my readers — I appreciate and cherish each and every one  of you!  I am blessed and I am grateful to have such supportive readers.  Thank you so much for reading!!  You make writing a joyful experience and a wonderful job.  I wouldn’t change it for the world.
