Merry-Go-Round Blog Tour

Were-Cats…In Space!!

A pink and yellow spotted unicorn looks at me from across the desk. “So as a writer you probably get a lot of writing questions.”

I nod. “That’s true.”

The audience laughs.

“Well how about we don’t talk about your latest bestselling book, Werewolves on the Edge.” She lifts my latest tome up so the camera can get a good shot of the cover. “Instead I thought I’d ask you some personal questions if that’s okay.”

Admittedly I’m taken by surprise. “I welcome the opportunity to not talk about my writing for the fiftieth time this week,” I kid.

The audience laughs again.

She looks out over the audience and wiggles what would be her eyebrows, if she had them. “So what’s your favorite sandwich?”

I lift an eyebrow and glance at the audience full of were-beasts waiting with baited breath for my answer. “Pickles and cheese,” I answer, matter-of-fact.

A rustle of murmurs runs through the crowd.

My hostess, the unicorn, smiles. Or at least I think she’s smiling. It’s hard to tell. “I love pickles!” she says, then adds, “Do you prefer sweet or sour?”

I don’t miss a beat. “Sour, and crispy. They’re delicious.”

The crowd seems to agree based on the nods of approval and the whispers.

“I’m told your most recent travels took you to Smelt Isle?” she prods.

Nodding I feel a grin wash over my face. “Most certainly. We have a compound there for when the Zombie Apocalypse comes. My friends Wheezy and Blue, and of course my husband are my constant companions when I’m there. Have you ever been to Smelt Isle?”

The unicorn shakes her head, “I’ve never been but I hear it’s beautiful this time of year.”

“It is,” I tell her. “I also keep and breed domestic were-cats there.”

The audience erupts with applause.

“I love were-cats! What breed?”

I pull out my Holo-Imager and queue up some pictures of my furry little beasts. They’re black with long, poofy hair. “They’re Lunar Long Hairs. Here are some of my babies.”

“Awww!” the audience and my hostess coo.

“They’re absolutely adorable,” she tells me, flipping her mane. Then, looking into the camera she  says, “When we come back, more with author of the bestselling author of Werewolves on the Edge, Audrey Anne S. J. Connolly-Reisner-Brice-O’Connell, and an interview with Charlie Sheen. Is he really a were-tiger with Adonis DNA? Stay tuned!”
