life,  the writing life,  thoughts,  Updates

So last night I was messing with organization and ideas for the site after the new webmaster told me how difficult it was the keep up with the forum and website. I think it was a cry for help.

Then I remembered back to my own volunteer days when I was running the site and what a pain in the arse it was to continually update the website. Then I thought of my previous sites to this one and how much of a pain they were to keep up with. And I understood his problem.

That’s when I realized he needed a WordPress site, too.  When I said this he was all for it, but he didn’t have the first clue how to go about it. So I offered my help to do this and to find regular content contributors (myself included) who could keep the site fresh and interactive with new content.  This way he didn’t have to use any specific programs or ftp programs or whatnot to update content on the website and the regular contributors would take some of the heat off of him. It would all be Internet accessible and only people who were content creators would have access to post administration.

So basically what I’m saying is I have just added another blog to my to-do list (and setting the whole thing up – transferring the content of the existing site over). Am I crazy? Probably. I guess I’m a masochist, too. (You’re not alone, sis!)
