Better Day

Today is a much better day. I’m not feeling nearly as bitchy and confrontational and as long as I stay far away from industry news I should be fine. 🙂 Last night I gave myself an attitude adjustment. I had a glass of wine while watching Nurse Jackie and United States of Tara, I played a few hands of Jeweled Solitaire and Mahjong, and didn’t do anything else. I think I just needed a down night. When you burn the candle at both ends, down days are not optional.

I’m thinking tonight I might crack open the latest Ghosthunter Mystery by Victoria Laurie. I could use an escape. After domestic chores anyway. I’m having friends over Friday night so I have to clean tonight or tomorrow night. This is also not optional. And by clean I mean clear off the kitchen island and the crap on the dining room table. Plus I’ll check the main bathroom to make sure it still looks presentable and give it a quick mid-week cleaning. How exciting is my life, eh? 🙂

Now back to work with me. Caught up here at the day job (or almost anyway). That’s no small feat. Especially since this week I’m processing the invoices for two companies entirely by myself. Either I’m good or we’re really slow. I’m suspecting the latter, which is not a good thing. But what can you do?

  1. Sometimes it’s either stop and take a breath or commit murder… since no one is making us ballistic dummies to kill I guess it’s candles and a good book
