So I have news! First things first – you probably noticed the new option on the menu above called STORE. Right now the store is in test mode and isn’t functional. It will be functional in the next few days. This is my little experiment in selling signed paperbacks and eBooks in my own store (eBooks will be in ePub (Nook) and Mobi (Kindle) formats – and possibly for Sony Reader as well). The reason I’m doing this is because of Amazon’s recent site glitches. You all know what happened with Weekend Captive. Well after I fixed it and it was made live on Amazon’s site again – it couldn’t be found in any searches and can only be gotten to by direct link. If it’s not a site glitch it could very well have been an intentional “burying” and while the book is still very available at B&N and Smashwords, there’s no reason it shouldn’t be on my site as well. Besides – I will make the full price of my eBooks here and since I sell them for so cheap – it will be nice to not always have to pay a distributor fees. Not to mention I can use software like Calibre to create the eBooks (test them with my test subjects – if you own a reader and want to be a test subject let me know) and then they won’t be such a pain in the arse to format. Not to mention new eBooks can be made available on my site right away. You’ll also find that some Sephira Alchemy items will be made available in the store at some point, too. The whole store may not be up for awhile so check back often to see what I have available. It’s a work in progress, much like my writing and myself. 🙂
Now in fun news! Guess where DH and I went tonight? We found a greenhouse. A GREENHOUSE. A real aluminum and panel Greenhouse! I am SO excited I can’t even begin to tell you. I very badly wanted a way to extend my veggie growing season and this will be the way to do it. It’s 6′ x 8′ and I can install and automatic window opener, solar fans, and even a small heater in the colder months. I can’t even begin to tell you how exciting this is for me. Ha! Now in other news – the Basil already needs to be re-planted or at least cut back. Tomorrow – during Supermoon – I’m planting the Nightshade. Very exciting stuff (if you’re into plants anyway).
::sigh:: I am very happy, excited and content right now. And on that note – I’m off to work on some writing (as usual).
