I removed the heat domes off of the basil seedlings this morning. They (the seedlings) are already too big for them. I’ll take more pics at the end of the week. At this point I’m relatively confident the coriander and chives aren’t going to germinate. We’ll see. I’m not holding my breath though. I shouldn’t have used the old seed starter soil disks. But I only had four left and felt it wasn’t right to let them go to waste. ::shrug:: At least I’ll definitely have basil plants. I am excited about that so we’ll see how things go. In a month they’re going to be so happy to be in their little pots. I’ll put them in the kitchen window. There’s a lot of natural light there. The rest of the area on top of the china cabinet is going to be filled with pots containing my poisonous plant collection + the Mandrake. Speaking of which, I’d better go rinse my seeds. Maybe tomorrow I’ll gather up my pots and wander out to Lowes and grab some seedling soil. Some of the magickal herb garden is going to need to be planted soon.
Oh – and I did finally get a new cover for the four tier greenhouse. So if anything I do have a place to harden off some plants and start others in the meantime while the bigger greenhouse is being built. I’m really looking forward to having the tomato plants started early. I could use walls of water if I needed to put them outside. The walls of water work – I’ve used them in years past for tomato plants.
