An Update

I think it’s time for a first quarter update!

A lot has been going on over here at Chateau de la Reisner. I’ve been bitten by the domestic bug and have been spending a great deal of time on my home and family.  This is probably a good thing since when I’m immersed in a project I tend to neglect everything else. I have also been burning the candle at both ends. This is not good because it puts me behind.

Eventually, readers start coming out of the woodwork to ask when a highly anticipated title is coming out.

So let’s look at fiction. First, DOM359.  I anticipate it being out in March. It was going to be this month, but there is a delay on my end with edits. I’m not entirely happy with the book just yet. The only way it will make it out this month is if wild hares have something to do with it. I hate having to announce something will be late, but it happens. I am entirely to blame on this.  I’m hoping we’re still on track with the rest of this year’s fiction.  Including Black Lily for May/June and Her Demon Wedding for September/October.  There may be a short Audrey Brice story out sometime this year, too. I initially started it for an anthology, but there’s no way I’m going to make the deadline for it (unless wild hares show up). This means that Ascending Darkness and Thirteen Covens (again) are pushed back, too.  Some days I think it would be so much easier if I only had one genre and one pen name to contend with. LOL!

Now let’s talk non-fiction. I have SO much going on here that it’s chaos. I need to sit down and find some order. The first bit of news is I’m putting out a couple more chapbooks this year as well as the anticipated Wortcunning for Daemonolatry. There will also be some more workbooks for the March project I’ve got going with Andrieh Vitimus (to be announced Saturday the 22nd at Convocation by Andrieh on the Deeper Down Panel).

Now – about the gimoires. Grimiorium Daemonolatrie is currently in a holding pattern because I must follow my inspiration, and right now, it’s not that particular book.  Sacrae Infernales’ fate has yet to be determined. I am almost 2/3 done with the book and it still needs a good edit, but the reality is that I am switching publishers and there may even be a title change. The Grimoires of Richard Dukanté is also on hold just because my heart isn’t in it right now. I can’t force my heart into a project.

Of course this is also tax season and I have yet to put together my tax prep for the accountant. That is happening this coming weekend. I am sincerely hoping that my chaotic beginning of year does not set the tone for the rest of the year. 🙂  I don’t think it will.

The really good news is that eventually it all gets done. My books may have a habit of being a little late, but they eventually come out. So thank you all so much for your patience and continued support and readership. I have some of the best readers and friends a writer could have. You guys rock!
