Where is Into Darkness?

It was bound to happen sooner or later. Someone was going to ask me where the latest OTS mystery is. Well, it’s been delayed. It seems one of my editors on the project has had a backlog at her day job (yep – a lot of small press editors have day jobs, too) and hasn’t been able to get to it. And the backup editor was in the midst of moving. Not to mention I am stuck on the last half of the book. It’s missing some pivotal pizazz. I started this story loving it, and I’m just not in love with the ending yet. Of course having editorial input will definitely help once we get to that point. In the meantime I’m just slowly plugging away at it.

Thirteen Covens is on hold for next year and if Into Darkness takes too much longer it’s going to put Switched back a few months, too. So really something has to give on Into Darkness. Some births are more painful than others and for some reason Into Darkness is just going to be one of those more difficult deliveries.

In the meantime the NF Esoterica is doing okay. Still organizing on the Dukante book (reviewing actual cover art that doesn’t suck). Still accepting submissions on the Legion Project. Still working on my Witches Gardening book. aeroponics, baby! 🙂  Book sales have been slow. I’m hoping the advent of the new $79 Kindle gives sales a boost.

Am I still loving my writing career? You betcha! It’s not always an easy job and sometimes things don’t happen the way I want them to (like without a hitch!), but you take the bad with the good and try to enjoy the process in the meantime. It’s time for me to redo PoP! Manifestation. ‘Cause right now I need some extra creative energy.

Oh – and tonight it’s a full backup of the computer. I really need a good backup.

I know it will be well worth the wait!! Oh and if you need help with the ending I suggest it was all a dream. I should be a writer with brilliant ideas like that. Seriously though your books are awesome, so people will happily wait for them

LOL! Ha! Now that would be an interesting twist… but nah. I won’t do that. I can say this book ends in an interesting place. And of course I’m all kinds of excited about the third one, too.
