She Walks Among You
It seems that while some projects seem to be languishing, others are swelling to fruition. Four weeks ago, Kim over at Darkerwood suggested something for my most current esoteric project. I really wrestled with this one. I told myself I wouldn’t do it. Then I thought about it and convinced myself (after a lot of prodding from both Kim and other friends) this book was actually worthy of such showcasing, and then finally – I agreed to it. I’m still uneasy about the idea, but perhaps it’s just pre-publication jitters.
Yes, folks, you heard it here first. As S. Connolly I am putting out a limited edition hardcover through Darkerwood Publishing Group. This has caused some uproar in the small GD Daemonolatry community because certain folks (the same ones I always seem to piss off) are pissed off that I’m writing this book at all.
Evidently I’ve slaughtered the sacred cow with this one. Oops. My ritual blade slipped.
To those people angry with me – chill out. The only people who will be able to get the formula to work are the most adept magicians. Besides, I’m not printing sacred ritual or sharing Keeper rites. I’m merely pulling the shroud off of a topic too few books cover. This isn’t your typical Daemonolatry 101 book like many I’ve written in the past. I’m just giving Daemonolatry magicians the information they’ve really been wanting all along – no holds barred. All the people bitching about 101 books and no advanced books for magicians — stop bitching. I think you’ll find my new project worthy of a place on your bookshelf. If not – go fuck yourself. I didn’t write it for you. 😉
We’re going to call this project TIC for short. You’ll get a title and more information once it goes off to press. I don’t know how many copies of the book will be printed, but I’m told it’s going to be between 225-500. We’ve discussed the possibility of Limited leather bound Editions even. Hand crafted – though my concern is the price and accessibility. We’re talking over $200 a book at that point (for hand bound leather) and that might be somewhat ridiculous. I guess it depends. It’s coming out sometime next year. I’d like to keep the cost reasonable. Under $100 if possible.
Anyway – that’s all I can say for now. Power to the people!
