A Malkuth of Me,  life

Weekend Off

Yeah – I took the three day weekend off.  I had a lot to do around the house and I still didn’t get done with everything on my list.  All work and no play… you know the rest.  I actually did take some play time. DH and I enjoyed two evenings around the fire pit, a movie, and some eating out this weekend. But we also worked our little tails off. We switched out a light fixture in front of the house, I planted my patio pots, we finished our new garden shed, I did a lot of watering and plant feeding, and we spent a few hours at the home store and running a palate over to the office. I am exhausted and this week is going to be a busy one on the accounting front. End of month and payroll – oh why must they land on the same week? LOL! It happens.

I also have my revisions (which I did absolutely NOTHING on). Sadly DH has needed a lot of wife time lately so the writing has suffered – A LOT. That’s what happens when you work from home and have no one to talk to except three geriatric cats who follow you around with that annoying “Meow” that translates to, “Pay attention to me now?”  So when I get home he’s ready to get the hell out of the house and go do stuff (whether it be shopping, dinner, movie, or whatever) and all I want to do is come home, kick my feet up, have a cold soda and write for a few hours. Talk about being out of sync.

And I’m off. It promises to be a very busy, short week. I’m not really looking forward to it (on the accounting front at least).

Oh – and I was so busy this weekend (fireworks and all that jazz) that I missed the newest True Blood! So I need to find time some time this week to watch that (no SPOILERS!).

Have a great Tuesday (Second Monday) and thanks for reading! 🙂
