Offensive
Evidently I have this bad habit of offending people by being blunt with my feelings and opinions. I guess that’s the best way to offend someone if you’re going to do it. It’s better than lying to someone’s face or pretending to be something you’re not.
My recent comments about Sarah Palin offended someone (allegedly). So if I have offended anyone with my comments I guess there’s really nothing I can say for myself. I did make the comments and I meant every word. My opinion hasn’t changed. It’s just part of who I am. Love me or hate me – I am who I am and I make no apologies for it.
I was also made aware that I scared off someone on my Facebook due to my post last night that stated: “I say for now on ALL newly elected politicians should be required to post pictures of their wieners (or other “naughty bits”) online just to get it out of the way. All in favor?”
To those folks who may have found that offensive I say, “You’ve read my books, right? I’m sorry your “Puritan” sensibilities don’t allow you to have a sense of humor.”
How do people like this end up “friending” me on FB to begin with? Or reading my books for that matter (considering I didn’t think my books attracted the Sarah Palin crowd)? I suppose that’s something for me to ponder this fine Tuesday. 🙂
