A Malkuth of Me

Dream File

Here’s another interesting dream for the dream file.

So I walk into the basement at the family business office. I’m wearing shorts and I feel something bizarre on my legs. Like cold prickles.  I look down and there are huge webs everywhere. No spiders that I can see, just tons of webs. Funny thing is, when I walk through them they aren’t disturbed or broken. So I find myself stuck in the middle of all these webs and the only way out is to walk through the webs. Only one tiny problem — I’m not a huge fan of spiders or webs. But, like usual when confronted with one of my fears (especially when alone) I generally buck up and find a solution. That’s exactly what I did in the dream. Except instead of going out the same way I got in (a longer stretch of webs), I ducked out the door nearest to me, went and got a broom, went back into the room and began cleaning up all the webs. Still never saw a single spider.

Dreammoods.com says: “To see a web in your dream, represents your desire to control everything around you. Alternatively, it suggests that you are being held back from fully  expressing yourself. You feel trapped and do not know what to do or where to go.  The dream may also be symbolic of your social network of acquaintances and associates or it may represent the world wide web.”

So presumably cleaning up the webs means taking back control and un-trapping myself. Interesting… I am going to have to be making some “work” related decisions soon.  I can feel it. Helping out at the family business is lucrative, but the writing calls to me and I love being able to do what I love. I guess I do kind of feel torn between the two at the moment. Perhaps this is my month to find a balance with helping with the family business and writing.
